Centrālajā stacijā kāds cilvēks guvis smagus savainojumus, pakļūstot zem pasažieru vilciena. Iemesli, kādēļ vīrietis atradās uz sliedēm, joprojām ir neskaidri. Pēc glābšanas darbu noslēgšanās cietušais tika hospitalizēts.
I was on platform 4 just a few metres from the man when it happened and saw him go under the train which was stopping at the platform, at no more than 1km per hour. It was so traumatic, but i called 113 ar 23.39 and police and paramedics arrived within 7 or 8 minutes, followed by fire crew. Only 1 leg was severely damaged and trapped by the wheel, needing the train to reverse without crushing his right leg which seemed to be in normal condition. I have not slept or eaten properly since I saw this and the condition of the man. Within 25 minutes of it happening, the man was rescued and the train was preparing to continue to Aizkraukle. I feel so sick still seeing this but this man will now live with just one leg, unless they surgeons have performed a miracle. I wish him the best possible life after this terrible experience :(
