10 YEARS OF MUSIC (part 1) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve been living and breathing music since I can remember, bug 10 years ago from last Friday (May 1st 2010), 15 year old Laura was getting up on a stage for her first show ever as a professional singer/songwriter. ✨??⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve always known I was meant to be an artist, but May 1st was the first time I got to share that identity with others and prove to myself that I could do it. Funny enough, in Brazil that same day is holiday called "o dia do trabalhador" (the day of the worker), and oh boy, did I work. ⁣ ⁣ I remember writing songs during classes and spending recesses finishing my lyrics. I remember staying up late rehearsing with my band and then waking up extra early trying to catch up with school. Selling my tickets to my classmates, singing in every classroom to promote my shows and distributing flyers to everyone I knew, along with the help of my amazing family. I remember taking ballet, piano and singing lessons after class and teaching myself how to play the guitar on YouTube. I skipped numerous friend hangouts and parties to stay home writing songs with my ever so talented brother @_lucasrizzotto . It was a hustle, but I loved it. I was on a mission and I knew it was a life-long one. (Cont) ↓

10 YEARS OF MUSIC (part 2) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The entertainment industry is tricky and can be a rather tumultuous ride… but also an amazing adventure. Life goes by really fast, and often we forget to acknowledge the things we’ve accomplished. When I look back, it all seems kind of surreal… so after some time processing it all, I want to make sure I acknowledge how insane, beautiful, tough and magical this journey has been. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I got my first record deal at only 16 years old. I released 2 full length albums and an EP with music I wrote myself. I’ve worked with a major label, and also learned the ropes of this business on my own as an independent artist. I pushed myself to the edge to keep up with school and work activities. I was blessed with an amazing music education and got scholarships to my dream schools. I moved away from my family to a foreign country by myself at 17 to pursue my passion… I missed them. I got to be surrounded by artists who inspire and challenge me to push myself every day. I felt lonely and dealt with anxiety, lots of it… but became stronger and more empathetic because of it. I finished my Masters degree in Music at 22 years old. ?‍? I was too hard on myself, many times… and other times, too soft. I wrote my first soundtrack. I shared the stage with artists I admire. I became a vegetarian! ? I found my purpose as a musician. I became a New Yorker… then a Cali girl. ☀️ I doubted myself… then found my confidence again. I performed in intimate settings, but also in arenas for 20,000 people. I worked with Jennifer freaking Lopez. I fell in love, then out of love… I experienced heartache, but also caused it. I wrote about all of it. ♥️ I performed at the UN. I got to live in some of my dream cities, learn about different cultures and travel a lot. I miss(ed) my family. I won the @ltvsupernova competition and had the honor to represent my Latvia in EUROVISION. And now, I’m a freaking hologram releasing music in Augmented Reality. Like. WHAT IS LIFE. Who knows what’s next?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ (Cont) ↓

Pirmais koncerts Laurai bija jau 15 gadu vecumā, bet 16 gadu vecumā viņa parakstījusi līgumu ar ierakstu kompāniju.

Sekojuši gadi, iegūstot muzikālo izglītību, paralēli muzicējot, nevar aizmirst par darbu kopā ar Dženiferu Lopesu vai Latvijas pārstāvēšanu "Eirovīzijas" dziesmu konkursā.

10 YEARS OF MUSIC (part 3) ⁣ ⁣ I am so beyond grateful for the past 10 years and want you to know that this decade isn’t just mine to celebrate: it’s OURS! Thank you to everyone who came to that 1st show, and to all of the ones after that. Thank you to my family for supporting this crazy dream of mine even before that day. Thank you to my sister and soulmate @carolrizzotto for always being there for me. My brother @_lucasrizzotto for being an amazing musical partner and friend. My parents for always supporting me and believing in me more than anyone, even when I doubted myself. ⁣ ⁣ Thank you to those who believed in me from day 1, who sang along to the songs I wrote in my notebooks during class, who bought tickets to see this kid singing live and supported her before anyone else did. Thank you to my friends for being the best cheerleaders, listening to my demos and always hyping me up… you know who you are.
